市建局 分三階段重建嘉咸街，並會在嘉咸街斜路建濕貨中心，讓現時的街舖分階段遷入。

市建局董事會今日通過重建市集規劃方向，在重建項目內，興建一座層高零售中心，提供16個舖位，優先租給現時區內14個濕貨商舖，預計成本增2億至12億元。市集內的53個小販攤檔將會獲加建安全上蓋，並會提供水電。

主席張震 遠表示，重建期間，局方盡量容許受影響的商戶如常運作，暫緩把商鋪交吉。
